Symptoms of Lung Cancer

Early lung cancer may not cause any symptoms, but may be found on a routine X-ray. If symptoms are present or as the cancer grows, the following may be experienced.4

  • Cough that gets worse or does not go away
  • Breathing trouble, such as shortness of breath
  • Constant chest pain
  • Coughing up blood
  • Hoarse voice
  • Frequent lung infections, such as pneumonia
  • Feeling very tired all the time
  • Unexplained weight loss

These symptoms are usually not due to cancer. Other health problems can cause some of these symptoms. That’s why it’s important to see a doctor to be diagnosed and treated as early as possible.
